Privacy Policy
drapèbyria is a contemporary Indian saree house based in Canada. We keep the information you share with us to a minimum, hold it carefully, and never sell it. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Right now our site does two things with your data: it lets you join our mailing list, and it lets you send a partnership enquiry. Both simply store what you type so we can write back. We use no advertising trackers and no analytics cookies, and we don’t share your details with anyone beyond the services that host our site and store these messages.

Who we are
drapèbyria (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a saree house designed in Canada. For anything relating to your privacy, or this policy, you can reach us at hello@drapebyria.com. We are the party responsible for the personal information described below.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Mailing list. When you join our list, we collect your first name, last name and email address.
- Partnership enquiries. When you use our “Partner with us” form, we collect your name, email address, and — where you choose to provide them — your brand or company, the kind of partnership you have in mind, a website or Instagram handle, and the message you write.
- Direct correspondence. If you email us, we keep your message and contact details so we can reply and follow up.
You don’t have to give us any of this. You share it voluntarily when you fill in a form or write to us, and it’s used only for the purpose you shared it for.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical details when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested — to keep the site running securely. We don’t use this to build a profile of you.
- Fonts. Our typefaces are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser’s IP address is shared with Google to deliver them. We don’t control that transfer beyond choosing to use the service.
How we use it
- To send you the occasional letter about new collections and private drops — only if you asked us to, and never more than you’d want.
- To read, reply to and manage the partnership enquiries you send us.
- To operate, secure and improve our website.
- To meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.
We rely on your consent, which you give by submitting a form, and on our legitimate interest in running the house and responding to people who reach out. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Cookies and tracking
We don’t use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party tracking pixels. We don’t follow you around the web. The only cookie our site may set is a functional one used internally to preview unpublished pages — an ordinary visit doesn’t set any tracking cookie. Some features that are still in development may store small amounts of data locally in your own browser (for example, to remember a shopping bag); that information stays on your device and isn’t sent to us.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for anyone else’s marketing. We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to run the house, and your information is shared with them only to the extent needed to do so:
- Google — our forms store submissions in Google Sheets (via Google Apps Script), and Google Fonts serves our typefaces.
- Vercel — hosts the website and processes the basic server logs described above.
These providers may process and store data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, under their own privacy and security terms. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
How long we keep it
We keep your mailing-list details until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them. We keep partnership enquiries and correspondence for as long as we’re in touch and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete them when they’re no longer needed.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from our letters at any time using the link in any email, or by writing to us. Subject to applicable law, you may also ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- correct anything that’s inaccurate or out of date;
- delete your information, or stop using it;
- withdraw a consent you previously gave.
Write to hello@drapebyria.com and we’ll take care of it. If you’re in Canada and aren’t satisfied with how we’ve handled a concern, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information and limit who can see it. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, so we can’t promise absolute security — but we treat what you share with real care.
Children
Our site isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of majority in their province or territory. If you believe a child has given us their information, please write to us and we’ll remove it.
Changes to this policy
As drapèbyria grows — and especially once our store and checkout open — we’ll update this policy to reflect what changes, and revise the date at the top. Please check back from time to time.
